The India-Pakistan cricket match has sparked a heated controversy, with the PCB accusing match referee Andy Pycroft of bias. The allegations arose from post-match incidents, including the reported absence of a handshake by the Indian team and the Pakistani team’s subsequent boycott of the presentation. Ramiz Raja, former Pakistan captain, voiced his concerns about Pycroft’s impartiality, pointing to his frequent presence during India’s toss ceremonies. The PCB alleged that Pycroft instructed both captains not to shake hands at the end of the match. The PCB also claimed an apology from Pycroft regarding miscommunication. However, the ICC countered these claims, stating there was no official investigation and that the apology was only for a venue-related miscommunication. The PCB’s complaints have not been supported by hard evidence, and Pycroft has resumed his duties.
