Tejasvi Dahiya’s outstanding performance propelled South Delhi Superstarz to a stunning victory against Outer Delhi Warriors in the DPL 2025. Dahiya’s unbeaten 70 from 30 balls was crucial as South Delhi chased down a target of 140 in a rain-affected 16-over match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The Superstarz’s innings got off to a shaky start, with early wickets creating pressure. The top order crumbled, and with the required run rate climbing, the game seemed to be slipping away. Dahiya, arriving at the crease at number 5, launched a powerful counter-attack, smashing six sixes and four boundaries. With seven runs needed off the final two balls, he hit a six and followed it with another six to win the match in style. Sumit Kumar Beniwal’s quickfire 19 also helped to keep the momentum.
Outer Delhi Warriors’ bowlers, Suyash Sharma, Anshuman Hooda, and Harsh Tyagi put in a shift. Earlier, batting first, the Warriors’ innings saw contributions from Sanat Sangwan, Dhruv Singh, and Shivam Sharma, taking their total to 139/8. South Delhi Superstarz’s bowling attack, led by Aman Bharti and Sumit Kumar Beniwal, maintained the pressure, picking up crucial wickets at regular intervals and restricting the Warriors’ scoring.
