
Neeraj Chopra, representing India in the javelin throw and a two-time Olympic medalist, finished second at the Diamond League Final 2025 in Zurich. Despite a challenging day, Chopra’s top throw reached 85.01m. Julian Weber of Germany claimed the gold with a dominant throw of 91.51m.
Chopra’s performance began with a strong opening throw of 84.35m, but his subsequent throws varied. He faced challenges in the middle rounds, with three fouls. His concluding throw of 85.01m secured the second position.
Weber’s outstanding throw set the tone for the competition, securing a clear victory. Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago took third place, narrowly missing out on surpassing Chopra.
