Yadav and Sharma faced sanctions under Article 2.3 (Level 1) of the DPL code of conduct, which addresses aggressive or obscene gestures. Both players acknowledged their transgressions to the match referee, which led to a deduction of 20% from their match fees. Harshit Rana, the captain of North Delhi Strikers, was penalized under Article 2.5 (Level 1) of the DPL code of conduct for using language deemed to have insulted a player. Rana also admitted his offense to the match referee, leading to a 10% fine on his match fee.
