The star of the match was Swastik Chhikara. He was part of RCB in IPL 2025 but did not get an opportunity to play. However, he showcased his talent with a powerful innings, leading his team to championship glory.
Chhikara’s explosive century
West Zone’s decision to bowl first after winning the toss proved to be a misstep. North Zone, batting first, scored 197 runs in 20 overs. Chhikara’s outstanding batting was the highlight of the match. Opening the batting, he scored an unbeaten 114 runs off just 68 balls, with a remarkable 11 sixes and a single four, achieving a strike rate of 167.6.
Chhikara’s performance put his team in a strong position. He was the key contributor to North Zone’s innings, remaining unbeaten as the team reached 197/2. Nitin Saini also played a crucial knock of 55 runs. His innings included 7 fours in 37 balls, boasting a strike rate of 148.6. The pair built a century partnership for the first wicket.

Chhikara also made a mark with his bowling. He took 2 wickets in his 4 overs. Despite conceding 50 runs, West Zone was bowled out for 160 in 18.3 overs.
