The blockbuster men's teams' match is scheduled for August 19 at the Wagner Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, kicking off at 6:30 PM local time.

India, currently ranked 8th in the world, finds itself in Pool D alongside the four-time champions Pakistan, Wales, and England. The top team from this group advances directly to the quarterfinals, while the second and third-placed sides will battle in crossover matches. This draw was revealed during a thrilling ceremony at the Wagner Stadium in Amsterdam on Tuesday, followed by the release of the full tournament schedule by the International Hockey Federation (FIH).

India's campaign begins on August 15 against Wales, marking the opening day of the 16-team men's event. That match starts at 4:30 PM IST. Two days later, on August 17, the Indians face fourth-ranked England at the same venue. Pakistan, meanwhile, opens against England on August 15. Pool stage games wrap up on August 20, with knockouts commencing the next day.

Shifting focus to the women's side, India's team launches its challenge on August 16 against Asian champions and world No. 4 China at Wagner Stadium. They follow up with South Africa on August 18 and England on August 20. The women's tournament opener features Australia versus Japan on August 15, running through August 30.

For the first time, the men's and women's World Cups are co-hosted by Belgium and Netherlands. The opening day alone boasts six matches across two venues: Wagner Stadium and Belgium's Belfius Hockey Arena in Wevre, split evenly between genders.
