
Indian archers achieved a remarkable victory at the World Championships. The men’s compound team showcased outstanding skill and precision. They secured India’s first-ever gold medal in the men’s compound team event, making history by defeating France in the final.
Prathmesh, Aman, and Rishabh formed the winning team, edging out France with a score of 235-233. The match was highly competitive, with the result decided after four sets.
After the first set, India was trailing 57-59. The second set ended in a tie at 117-117. The third set also saw both teams tied at 176-176, making the fourth set critical. India scored 59 points in the fourth set, while France scored 57, allowing India to win 235-233.
In the mixed team event, Rishabh Yadav and Jyothi Surekha won a silver medal, narrowly losing to the Netherlands with a score of 155-157.
