Following India’s incredible ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 victory, fans are buzzing with anticipation for a fitting celebration for the triumphant team. While widespread jubilation is evident, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has clarified that no victory parade has been officially scheduled at this time. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia explained that the board’s immediate focus is on international engagements. “Several senior officials are heading there as well, so once we return, we will plan accordingly,” he commented, referring to upcoming ICC meetings in Dubai. The BCCI delegation is expected to be in Dubai from November 4th to 7th. It is understood that any decisions regarding a public felicitation or parade will be made upon their return to India. Saikia also indicated that a separate matter concerning the Asia Cup trophy, which has not yet been given to the Indian team, will be raised with the ICC. The World Cup final, held at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on November 2nd, saw India defeat South Africa by 52 runs to claim their first-ever World Cup title. India posted a commanding 298 for 7, driven by a remarkable 87 from Shafali Verma and solid support from Smriti Mandhana (45), Deepti Sharma (52), and Richa Ghosh (34). Despite a defiant century from South African skipper Laura Wolvaardt, India’s bowlers, particularly Deepti Sharma with her five-wicket haul, held firm to secure the historic win. The nation celebrates this monumental achievement, a landmark moment for Indian women’s cricket, with official plans to follow soon.
