
In a discussion at the Fit India ‘Sundays on Cycle’ event in Delhi, former cricketer Saba Karim shared his views on the upcoming Qualifier 2 match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Karim predicted a favorable outcome for MI, emphasizing their strong form and bowling attack. He also expressed his wish for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to clinch their first-ever IPL title. Karim noted that PBKS, despite their league-stage performance, suffered a defeat against RCB. Meanwhile, MI showcased a robust batting display in the eliminator against Gujarat Titans (GT). Saba also commented on Virat Kohli’s stellar performance and wished RCB well. Virat Kohli’s scored 614 runs in 14 matches. The conversation also touched upon India’s upcoming tour of England, where a young team under Shubman Gill will get the chance to prove themselves. The England tour begins June 20. Additionally, Karim lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s gesture towards young batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who had an impressive IPL season, scoring 252 runs in seven matches.
