The Hundred Women’s 2025 tournament witnessed a gripping encounter between London Spirit and Welsh Fire on August 9th. London Spirit secured a narrow two-run victory, largely due to the impressive all-around performance of 22-year-old Charlie Not. Not top-scored for her team and later secured a crucial wicket, dismissing the Welsh Fire captain.
Batting first, London Spirit managed 124 runs in 99 balls. Not’s dynamic innings of 47 runs off 33 balls, which included 7 fours, proved pivotal. Kira Chatley contributed 19 runs and Grace Harris added 18 runs. Freya Davies and Katie Levick of Welsh Fire each took three wickets.
Welsh Fire, chasing 125 for victory, fell short, scoring 122 runs for the loss of five wickets in their 100 balls. Not’s bowling performance was also crucial, dismissing Tammy Beaumont. Sophia Dunkley (36 runs), Hayley Matthews (26 runs), and Jess Jonassen (29 runs) contributed, but could not secure victory for their team.
