After a successful Test series in England, Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj is enjoying a break, spending time with his family. The timing of the break coincided with the Raksha Bandhan festival, allowing Siraj to celebrate with his loved ones. The rakhi was tied to Siraj by Zanai Bhosle, the granddaughter of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, the same person with whom relationship rumors had circulated.
Rakhi Ceremony with Zanai
On August 9th, Siraj celebrated Raksha Bandhan, a festival celebrated across India. Zanai Bhosle, the subject of recent relationship rumors, tied the rakhi on Siraj’s wrist. A video of the celebration, shared by Zanai on her Instagram account, garnered significant attention and affection from their fans. The occasion saw Siraj dressed in traditional white attire.
Rumor Mill and Denials
Speculation about Siraj and Zanai’s relationship surfaced on social media earlier, triggered by a photograph of the pair together. The picture was taken at Zanai’s birthday, where Siraj was also present. As no prior photos of the duo had been seen, it fueled rumors. Both Siraj and Zanai denied the speculation. Zanai referred to Siraj as her ‘dear brother,’ while Siraj expressed a sisterly bond. This Raksha Bandhan celebration seemingly put an end to any lingering doubts.
Siraj’s Stellar Performance in England
Siraj played a pivotal role in Team India’s success during their England tour. He participated in all five Test matches, taking a remarkable 23 wickets, the most in the series. In two matches, he secured 5 wickets in a single innings, which helped the team win.
