Pakistan’s cricket selectors have made a late adjustment to their white-ball squads for the upcoming home assignments. Batter Hasan Nawaz has been permitted to return to domestic cricket, freeing up a spot in the T20I squad for the reinstated Fakhar Zaman. This squad evolution occurs just prior to Pakistan facing Sri Lanka in ODIs and participating in a T20I tri-nation tournament alongside Zimbabwe.
The seventh round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, where Hasan Nawaz will play, is set to begin on November 11. The 23-year-old’s departure from the national squad allows for Zaman’s comeback to the T20I setup. Notably, Zaman last played T20Is in the Asia Cup 2025. He was also part of the ODI series against South Africa, where his performances yielded 45 runs in three innings.
The home series kicks off with a three-match ODI contest against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi, scheduled from November 11 to 15. Following the ODI series, the focus shifts to the T20I tri-nation competition, which will be held from November 17 to 29 in Rawalpindi and Lahore. Pakistan will be eager to perform strongly in front of their home crowd.
