Pakistan secured a second successive win, defeating the UAE by 31 runs in a T20I match that saw a significant number of runs scored. Pakistan amassed a commanding total of 207 runs, their third-highest in T20Is. The groundwork for this score was laid by Saim Ayub, who delivered an outstanding performance. The left-handed batsman aggressively attacked UAE’s bowling, scoring 69 runs from 38 deliveries.
Following Ayub’s dismissal, Hasan Nawaz took over the charge, scoring 38 runs off just 22 balls. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, Pakistan’s lower middle-order batsmen, including Mohammad Nawaz (25), Faheem Ashraf (16), and Hasan Ali (9), ensured they scored 45 runs in the final overs.
UAE faced difficulties throughout their innings, heavily depending on their captain, Muhammad Waseem, who scored 33 runs. Aside from Waseem, wickets tumbled, and Pakistan’s spin attack, led by Nawaz and Ayub, dominated. The bowlers managed to restrict the UAE to a mere score of 176.
Asif Khan was the only notable batsman for UAE, scoring 77 runs off 35 balls and improving their net run rate.
