Pakistan, after a Super Four stage loss to India in the Asia Cup 2025, has secured a win against Sri Lanka, which has propelled them to the second position in the points table. Qualification for the next stage is still undecided because Pakistan has played two matches, unlike India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, who have one match to go. Pakistan’s bowling attack was effective, with Shaheen Shah Afridi taking three wickets and Haris Rauf and Hussain Talat each taking two, thereby restricting Sri Lanka to 133/8. Kamindu Mendis was the only Sri Lankan batsman to put up a notable score. India has maintained an undefeated record, having previously defeated Pakistan twice. India leads the standings. India will play against Bangladesh on Wednesday and Sri Lanka on Friday, both games are in Dubai.
