Following Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) triumphant IPL 2025 season, where Phil Salt played a key role, the explosive opener has extended his excellent form to ‘The Hundred’. Salt has set a new benchmark in the tournament, becoming the first male cricketer to reach 1000 runs in the league, achieving the feat in 37 innings. Salt had also previously accumulated over 1000 runs in the IPL. Playing for Manchester Originals, Salt reached this milestone in a match against Oval Invincibles, during which he scored 41 runs. He celebrated his achievement by smashing a 103-meter six off Saqib Mahmood’s delivery.
