India U19 kicked off their Asia Cup campaign with a commanding 234-run victory over the UAE, thanks to a sensational unbeaten 171 from Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Suryavanshi’s spectacular innings, which included a record 14 sixes, powered India to a historic total of 433/6. This score is not only the highest in U19 Asia Cup history but also the third-highest in any men’s U19 ODI match.
Suryavanshi’s rapid scoring, reaching 150 in just 84 balls, along with significant contributions from Aaron George (69) and Vihaan Malhotra (69), left the UAE bowlers with no answers. The Indian batting lineup showcased its depth with useful cameos down the order.
The UAE U19 team could only manage 199/7 in reply, falling well short of the massive target. Uddish Suri was the top scorer with 78 not out, but lacked support as India’s bowlers applied consistent pressure. India U19 now gears up for a significant clash against Pakistan U19.
