
Rinku Singh of the Meerut Mavericks produced a sensational performance at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, scoring a century in just 45 balls, with a striking rate of 225, and securing a remarkable victory for his team. His innings included 8 sixes and 7 fours. At one point, the Meerut Mavericks were struggling at 38 runs for four wickets, but Rinku Singh led the comeback, guiding his team to a 6-wicket win with seven balls remaining. This was a significant display by Singh just before the Asia Cup.
The UP T20 League match at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow saw a contest between the Gorakhpur Lions and Meerut Mavericks. Sahib Yuvraj made 22 runs off 22 balls. The partnership enabled Meerut to reach the target of 168 in 18.5 overs, earning a 6-wicket win. The Gorakhpur Lions also had a poor start.
Gorakhpur also had a slow beginning, losing their first wicket at 3 runs. Dhruv Jurel and Akashdeep Nath added 45 runs for the second wicket. Dhruv Jurel scored 38 runs off 32 balls with 6 fours. Akashdeep Nath scored 23 runs off 16 balls with 3 fours and 1 six. Nishant Kushwaha scored 37 runs off 24 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. Shivam Sharma remained unbeaten with 25 runs off 14 balls, comprising 2 sixes and 1 four. For Meerut, Vishal Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar took 3 wickets each, while Zeeshan Ansari claimed two wickets. Meerut achieved their second win in three matches, whereas Gorakhpur had only one victory in three matches.
