The upcoming SA20 season in 2026 will commence on December 26th. The auction list for this tournament includes a number of players, with a notable addition being veteran English fast bowler James Anderson. This could potentially be Anderson’s debut in the SA20 league, which features six franchises.
Included in the auction are 13 Indian players, such as Dinesh Karthik and Piyush Chawla. The auction is scheduled to take place in Johannesburg on September 9th.
James Anderson recently returned to T20 cricket after an 11-year hiatus, participating in the T20 Blast 2025. He has also played in the Men’s Hundred 2025.
