In a recent discussion, former Indian cricketer Saba Karim assessed the Qualifier 2 match in the IPL between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Karim believes MI is well-positioned to win, citing their momentum and robust bowling as key factors. He also expressed his hopes for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), wishing for them to win the IPL for the first time.
Karim’s insights were shared at the Fit India ‘Sundays on Cycle’ event in Delhi. He noted MI’s strong form, contrasting it with PBKS’s significant loss to RCB. MI, on the other hand, performed admirably against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the eliminator.
He praised Virat Kohli’s performance, hoping RCB would secure the IPL title. He also discussed India’s upcoming tour of England, seeing it as a valuable opportunity for a youthful squad led by Shubman Gill.
Additionally, Karim appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s gesture towards 14-year-old batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi. He praised Suryavanshi’s talent and the growing reach of cricket.
