As India prepares for the Asia Cup 2025, a significant change is evident on the team’s jersey: the absence of a sponsor logo. This detail, highlighted by Shivam Dube’s social media post featuring the new kit, marks a departure from the usual practice of branded team wear. The jersey features the word “INDIA” and the Asia Cup 2025 tournament logo, but the space allocated for a sponsor is blank. This shift follows the expiry of the BCCI’s sponsorship agreement with Dream11. The BCCI has opened the application process to find a new sponsor, with a clear focus on aligning with their guidelines, and will consider only brands that meet its requirements. India is in Group A, facing UAE, Pakistan, and Oman. Their campaign starts on September 10 against UAE and includes a highly anticipated match against Pakistan on September 14. This sponsor-free jersey could be a temporary measure or a sign of the BCCI’s new approach to commercial partnerships.
