With the Asia Cup 2025 out of reach, Shreyas Iyer is looking towards the Test series against West Indies. West Indies is scheduled to tour India in October for a two-match Test series. The first Test will be played in Ahmedabad from October 2. Iyer may get a chance in this series due to Karun Nair’s underwhelming performance against England, making his return to the team difficult. Iyer has played 14 Test matches, scoring 811 runs at an average of 36.86, including one century and five half-centuries. He has also scored 2845 runs in 70 ODIs at an average of 48.22, with five centuries and 22 half-centuries. In 51 T20I matches, Iyer has scored 1104 runs at an average of 30.66, with eight fifties.
