
In the Maharaja Trophy 2025, Gulbarga Mystics secured a 4-wicket win against Hubli Tigers. Gulbarga faced early trouble in their chase, losing three wickets for 15 runs. Smaran Ravichandran, representing Sunrisers Hyderabad, played a match-winning innings, contributing a half-century and ensuring a crucial victory for the Mystics. He attacked all of Hubli’s bowlers.
Hubli Tigers, batting first, scored 158 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Krishnan Sreejith scored 52 runs, including four fours and two sixes. Shivkumar Rakshit scored 36 runs, while Mohammad Taha scored 17 runs. Shashi Kumar and Lavish Kaushal each took two wickets for the Mystics. The Mystics’ chase had a shaky start, losing three wickets early on.
However, Smaran Ravichandran then displayed exceptional batting, scoring 52 runs off 39 balls, featuring one boundary and three sixes, and leading his team to victory. He and Prajwal Pawan shared a 71-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Ravichandran has been impressive this season, with an average of 42.33, scoring 127 runs in 5 matches, at a strike rate of 141.11. He has hit 10 fours and 7 sixes this season. He currently holds the sixth position among the top run-getters. Sunrisers Hyderabad acknowledged Ravichandran’s performance on their social media.
This victory marks Gulbarga Mystics’ third win of the season, placing them fourth in the points table.
