During the match against Australia, Smriti Mandhana’s explosive century established a new record in women’s ODIs. She is now the second-fastest woman to achieve a century in this format. The fastest century in women’s ODIs is held by Australia’s Meg Lanning, who scored a century in 45 balls in 2012 against New Zealand. Following Mandhana is Beth Mooney of Australia, who completed her century in 57 balls during the same match. Furthermore, Mandhana completed her fourth ODI century in 2025. She had also scored four centuries in 2024, making her the top performer for two consecutive years in terms of the most centuries in a single year. South Africa’s Tazmin Brits has also scored four centuries in ODIs this year.
