The South African Test team for the series against Zimbabwe has been revealed, and Temba Bavuma will not be part of it. Bavuma suffered a left hamstring strain during the World Test Championship final, which led to his exclusion. Keshav Maharaj will take over as captain for the series, starting June 28. Bavuma sustained the injury while batting but continued playing until the tea break. The team selection emphasizes easing the workload on players, with five uncapped players included. Important players like Aiden Markram and Kagiso Rabada will be rested, and Lungi Ngidi will feature only in the second test.
