The second innings saw the South Africans take early wickets against the Australian top and middle order. South Africa is now set a target of 282 runs. Throughout Test history, South Africa has successfully chased down scores of 250 or more five times. Three of these instances were against Australia, the most impressive of which was the 414 chase at WACA, Perth, in 2008.
