Rhythm Mamania, a 13-year-old, has emerged as a standout athlete after winning a gold medal at the 20th Asian Roller Skating Championship in Jecheon, South Korea. Her victory in the Solo Free Dance event not only secured her a top position but also brought attention to the rising prominence of Indian athletes in artistic roller skating. This recent win adds to a series of accolades. Rhythm is a six-time national champion and a recipient of more than 50 national medals. Her international achievements include a gold medal at the 2025 Taiwan Championship. Demonstrating her talent early on, she set a record at age five by driving under 25 stationary cars in one attempt, foreshadowing her skating career. Beyond her skating successes, Rhythm has also made her mark by becoming the youngest Indian to climb to Everest Base Camp in 2021. Motivated by the principle of ‘India First, Self Later,’ she is now preparing for the Brisbane Pacific Cup. With the guidance of her coach, Mrs. Adesh Singh, Rhythm continues to inspire young athletes and increase the visibility of artistic roller skating worldwide. Her journey serves as an example of how passion, dedication, and patriotism can lead to extraordinary achievements.
