
Nitish Kumar Reddy, the young all-rounder for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), has refuted claims of his potential departure from the team. He clarified his commitment to the franchise, effectively ending speculation about his exit. Reddy, 22, emphasized the significance of trust, respect, and shared passion in his association with SRH.
In a post on X, Reddy stated his commitment to the team. The 2024 season marked a turning point for Reddy, leading to his selection in India’s T20I squad and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In the 2025 IPL, he scored 182 runs with an average of 22.75. Overall in his IPL career, he has played 28 matches and scored 485 runs, including two half-centuries, with an average of 28.52 and a strike rate of 132.87.
Reddy recently played in the five-match Test series against England, but was ruled out after the third Test because of a knee injury. In the two Tests he played, Reddy scored 45 runs and took three wickets. The injury is likely to keep him out of the upcoming Duleep Trophy.
