Virat Kohli, the former captain and batting star of the Indian cricket team, is never far from the public eye. Recent discussions have revolved around an incident involving a ‘like’ on Instagram. This time, the spotlight falls on a response from actress Avneet Kaur.
The controversy stemmed from a ‘like’ on Avneet Kaur’s photo from Virat Kohli’s official Instagram account during IPL 2025. This action, made by a figure followed by over 270 million people, quickly spread across social media, including Instagram and X.
Kohli addressed the situation, explaining that the like was a result of the Instagram algorithm and not his direct action. Although this explanation was met with doubt, the issue eventually subsided. Now, after a four-month wait, Avneet Kaur has given her response. During a promotional event for her upcoming movie, ‘Love in Vietnam,’ she was asked about the ‘like’ and responded, avoiding Kohli’s name, with the simple statement, “May love continue…”
Cricket fans are eager for Kohli’s return to the field, which is expected during India’s tour of Australia in October, featuring three ODI matches. Meanwhile, Avneet Kaur is busy promoting her film, where she plays the lead role and stars with Shantanu Maheshwari. The film is set to be released on September 12th.
