Following Yashasvi Jaiswal’s outstanding century in the first Test against England at Headingley, his coach, Jwala Singh, is predicting even more success for the young batsman. Singh anticipates that Jaiswal will score at least two more centuries during his debut tour of England. Jaiswal, opening the innings, scored 101 runs with 16 fours and a six, before getting out, making him the first Indian opener to achieve a century at the historic Headingley venue.
“I think he’ll score at least two more centuries here,” Jwala Singh stated, highlighting Jaiswal’s dedication. He also emphasized the mental strength and controlled boundary shots. Jaiswal’s innings was reminiscent of Sourav Ganguly’s impactful performance at Lord’s.
On the first day of the Headingley Test, Jaiswal’s composed century was a testament to his talent. Jaiswal and KL Rahul formed a strong opening partnership, laying the groundwork for India’s impressive score of 359/3. His ability to adapt to the pace and exploit opportunities showcased his class on challenging English pitches.
