Airtel has made adjustments to its prepaid plans, impacting users. The company has reduced the data allocation in the Rs 195 plan. This plan, favored by those who buy additional data vouchers, now offers 12GB of data, down from the previous 15GB. Concurrently, the Jio Hotstar OTT benefit has been shortened from 90 days to 30 days. These changes are aimed at boosting ARPU, with Airtel targeting Rs 300, up from Rs 250. The earlier closure of the Rs 249 plan, which provided 1GB of high-speed data daily for 24 days, including 100 SMS per day, Perplexity Pro AI, free Extreme Play and free Hellotunes, has led to the Rs 299 plan being the new option.
