Google’s recent mobile operating system update has triggered complaints from a segment of Android users. The new UI has been met with criticism due to the sudden and unexpected changes, causing users to search for the settings of the previous interface. The updated interface includes oversized buttons for essential functions like ending calls, using the keypad, muting, and activating the speakerphone, creating user confusion. Furthermore, alterations have been made to the phone app, contact lists, and call history, with horizontal lines now segregating contacts and dialed numbers. These changes have resulted in an interface similar to iOS, requiring a slide action to manage incoming calls. The updates rolled out without user consent or action to update their devices.
