Apple Drives Record Smartphone Exports from India

India's smartphone export figures have reached unprecedented levels, largely due to the success of Apple. The company's performance has significantly boosted overall export numbers. The Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, launched in 2020, has further accelerated this growth. In fiscal year 21, smartphone exports were only $3.1 billion; by fiscal year 25, they had surged to $24.1 billion, with Apple contributing $17.5 billion.

In the first quarter of fiscal year 26 alone, India has already surpassed $7.72 billion, positioning the country to break new annual records.
