India’s smartphone export figures have reached unprecedented levels, largely due to the success of Apple. The company’s performance has significantly boosted overall export numbers. The Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, launched in 2020, has further accelerated this growth. In fiscal year 21, smartphone exports were only $3.1 billion; by fiscal year 25, they had surged to $24.1 billion, with Apple contributing $17.5 billion.
In the first quarter of fiscal year 26 alone, India has already surpassed $7.72 billion, positioning the country to break new annual records.
