The launch of the iPhone 17 Series is expected to result in the discontinuation of multiple older iPhone models, a common practice for Apple. Following the release of a new iPhone series, some older models are usually removed from the market. The Apple Event 2025 is likely to follow this trend, clearing the way for the new devices.
It is speculated that the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be removed from Apple’s official website after the iPhone 17 Series launch. While these models may continue to be sold by third-party retailers, availability will depend on stock levels. Once these retailers sell out their existing stock, the models will no longer be available in the market.
Along with iPhones, the Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and AirPods Pro 2 Gen are also expected to be discontinued. Discontinuation means that Apple will not only stop selling these models on its website, but also cease their production. Consumers might still be able to purchase these models through online retailers such as Amazon and Flipkart after they are discontinued. In some cases, instead of discontinuation, the prices of certain models are reduced, providing a more affordable option for consumers looking to buy Apple products.
