Apple is reportedly planning to introduce its first foldable iPhone next year, promising a device with cutting-edge features. While the iPhone 17 series is also on the horizon, the tech world is buzzing with anticipation for this foldable model. The device, codenamed V68, is expected to have a design similar to Samsung’s Z Fold series, which means it will unfold to resemble a tablet. The phone is rumored to feature a quad-camera system, comprising a front-facing camera, a camera on the inner screen, and two rear cameras, all designed to deliver superior photo and video quality. It could also incorporate Touch ID rather than Face ID. A key feature of this phone is its reliance on eSIM technology, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card slot. Apple’s suppliers are already working on this model, and production is slated to increase early next year. The expected launch is in 2025, possibly alongside the iPhone 18 series. Currently, the device is being tested in black and white colors. The display will utilize a new in-cell touch technology to minimize creases and improve the touch experience. Furthermore, the device might incorporate Apple’s C2 modem, which could replace Qualcomm’s, for enhanced performance and network connectivity. There has been no official announcement from Apple, but the foldable iPhone is expected to hit the market next year.
