Apple’s much-anticipated ‘Awe Dropping’ event is just around the corner, with the iPhone 17 series set to be unveiled. The launch will likely lead to the discontinuation of several older Apple devices. Expected on September 9, the event will showcase the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 17 Air, alongside updated Apple Watch models and a new AirPods Pro. Historically, Apple discontinues certain existing devices annually. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models are predicted to be phased out after the iPhone 17 series launch. The previous year’s flagship models could also be removed from the official product line. Consumers may still find these phones through other vendors, but stock levels might be constrained. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are also anticipated to be discontinued. During the festive season, potential buyers may find considerable price reductions on the older models. The current Apple Watch lineup is also expected to undergo changes, as Apple usually replaces current Watch Series with upcoming ones. The Watch Series 10 is expected to be discontinued with the introduction of the Watch Series 11. Also, the Watch Ultra 2, which was introduced two years ago, could be discontinued after the Watch Ultra 3 launch on September 9. The affordable Watch SE model may also be replaced, making way for the newer Watch SE 2.
