Apple is gearing up for its product launch on September 9, where it will showcase the iPhone 17 lineup, new Apple Watches, and related accessories. The company aims to combat the growing competition from Samsung, Google, and Chinese tech companies. Given the lack of major AI upgrades in the upcoming iOS 26, Apple is focusing on hardware advancements. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will feature redesigned camera areas, while the iPhone Air will introduce a thinner form factor.
The event will include the unveiling of four new iPhone models. The iPhone Air is generating significant interest with its ultra-thin 5.5mm design. This design choice may result in reduced battery life and a single rear camera, with Apple potentially offering a new battery case to address the battery concerns. The iPhone 17 Air will be equipped with the A19 processor, a 6.6-inch screen, USB-C, ProMotion, and eSIM-only support, utilizing Apple’s internal Wi-Fi chip and C1 modem. The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will return to an aluminum frame for improved heat management and a lighter feel. The base iPhone 17 will maintain its design, but will have a larger 6.3-inch screen and new features. Apple is also preparing to release new accessories, including updated cases and a cross-body strap.
