Colorful has released the SMART 900 Mini PC, a new compact desktop targeting AI creators and professionals. Introduced on June 23, 2025, the device aims to pack high-end computing power into a small, portable design. The mini PC is built to handle demanding tasks such as AI workloads, photo editing, and content creation, providing a practical alternative to full-sized desktops.
The SMART 900 is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, featuring 16 cores and 32 threads, based on the Zen 5 architecture. It has a maximum clock speed of 5.1 GHz and 80MB of cache for improved multitasking and AI application performance. The visuals are handled by Radeon 8060S graphics, utilizing AMD’s RDNA 3.5 technology with 40 compute units.
Key to its design is the AI-focused NPU, which delivers up to 50 TOPS of performance for accelerating generative AI, image editing, and machine learning. The device includes Wi-Fi 7, 2.5Gbps Ethernet, and a variety of ports: two USB 4.0 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, an SD 4.0 card slot, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and audio/LAN support. It supports LPDDR5 memory at 8000MHz and has two M.2 SSD slots.
The mini PC features an aluminium build with a smooth anodized finish and a compact design, just 247.5mm wide. It is intended for students, video editors, and digital artists who desire both power and portability. Although the price has not been announced, the features indicate a premium product.
