Recent investigations into online food delivery services have uncovered serious issues regarding product safety. Consumers are urged to be vigilant when receiving deliveries of items like milk and bread, particularly regarding expiration dates. The Delhi food department’s probe was triggered by complaints of consumers receiving expired goods. Investigations revealed that some e-commerce platforms were allegedly tampering with expiration dates to sell products past their prime. A unit in South Delhi was sealed by the Food Safety Department due to these findings. The issues included instances where products were sold with removed expiry dates. A complaint was received earlier about a person receiving moldy bread.
