The sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei, is poised to launch on the PlayStation 5. Developed by Sucker Punch, this open-world game invites players to experience a revenge story set in the historical context of feudal Japan.
The narrative centers on Atsu, a lone mercenary, who seeks retribution against the Yōtei Six, the masked figures responsible for the death of her family. In pursuit of her goal, she becomes the “Ghost.”
Players will explore the harsh environments of Ezo, which is set in the 1600s. The game features a diverse range of settings, including peaceful hot springs, forests veiled in mist, and snow-capped mountains. The open-world design allows players to select which of the Yōtei Six they will confront first, fostering a non-linear progression.
Ghost of Yotei continues the action combat style, introducing new mechanics and weapons. Players will have access to two katanas, the mighty odachi, and a grappling hook to ascend cliffs and overcome barriers.
