Apple’s iPhone 16 series is poised to get a boost with the iOS 26 update, introducing support for Qi 2.2 wireless charging. This enhancement will enable faster charging speeds for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Previously, only Apple’s MagSafe chargers offered 25W wireless charging, while third-party Qi chargers were capped at 15W.
This update removes the existing charging limitations, enabling the iPhone 16 series to charge at a faster 25W speed using any Qi 2.2 charger.
