OpenAI has released ChatGPT Pulse, a new feature designed to provide users with a daily stream of personalized updates tailored to their interests. Instead of requiring users to initiate prompts, Pulse actively researches and delivers curated information each morning. This functionality allows for a more efficient and proactive interaction with ChatGPT, offering information aligned with individual preferences and needs. The updates may include reminders, follow-ups, and progress updates on personal objectives, presented as a personalized daily digest. OpenAI is planning future enhancements to Pulse, incorporating user search history and preferences to improve the relevance of recommendations. Pulse operates by analyzing usage patterns and drawing from various data sources, including chat logs, memory settings, and connected services such as Gmail and Google Calendar, to generate tailored insights. Currently accessible to Plus users, wider availability is planned. OpenAI acknowledges that Pulse is in its early stages and welcomes user feedback to improve its performance, while also prioritizing user privacy and data protection.
