iQOO is preparing to launch the iQOO 15 in India, introducing its new flagship smartphone with confirmed features. The phone will offer wireless charging, a departure from the iQOO 13. It also anticipates enhancements in battery life and overall performance. The iQOO 15 will feature the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, known for its unparalleled speed, making it the first phone in India to incorporate this processor.
The company confirmed via Weibo that the iQOO 15 will integrate wireless charging along with a novel seven-cell “Blue Ocean” battery design. The device will also incorporate Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0 technology, aimed at prolonging gaming, video, and navigation sessions, thereby boosting battery life. The iQOO 13, while offering a 6,000mAh battery and 120W fast charging, lacked wireless charging capabilities.
Leaks suggest the iQOO 15 will showcase a 6.85-inch Samsung display with a 2K resolution (3168×1440 pixels) and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is also expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor coupled with the company’s Q3 chip for optimized performance and gaming experiences.
In terms of camera specs, the iQOO 15 may include a 50MP primary sensor, measuring 1/1.5-inch, and potentially a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. This setup should significantly improve low-light photography and zoom functionality.
According to information from tipster Chaitanya (@ChaitanyaOnTech), the iQOO 15 is projected to be priced between 60,000 and 65,000 rupees in India. This would be approximately 5,000 rupees more expensive than the iQOO 13 (12GB RAM + 256GB storage), which was initially priced at 54,999 rupees. The iQOO 13 was available in Legend and Nardo Grey color variants; more color options for the iQOO 15 are anticipated to be unveiled soon.
