At the Snapdragon Summit, OnePlus unveiled its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15. The company highlighted that the device will be the first to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Initially, the phone will be released in China before expanding to other global markets, including India. Although the exact Indian launch date remains unconfirmed, projections suggest a January 2026 release, aligning with the launch timing of the OnePlus 14. Design leaks reveal a potential shift away from the signature circular camera module to a rectangular camera island on the rear of the phone. The device is expected to feature a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED flat display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. Further specifications may include the Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 operating system, with an emphasis on extended OS updates and security enhancements, as well as a sizable 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery with fast-charging support. The camera configuration could include a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capabilities.
