OnePlus has officially announced the OnePlus 15 at the Snapdragon Summit, marking it as the first device to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The phone will first launch in China before making its way to other global markets, including India. Details about the launch date and leaked features are now circulating.
While the exact launch date in India is yet to be revealed, the phone is anticipated to launch in China in October 2025. The Indian launch is expected around January 2026, following the pattern set by the OnePlus 14’s release in January of this year.
Design leaks showcase a new rear panel design, featuring a rectangular camera island on the upper right, replacing the circular camera module. This design approach could align with the OnePlus 13s.
During the Snapdragon Summit, OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Additional leaks suggest a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED flat display with curved edges and ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels, offering a 165Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. The device is likely to run on Android 16 with OxygenOS 16, promising 5 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches. Rumors also point towards a large 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 50W wireless and 100W wired charging. The camera specifications could include a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom.
