Following the iPhone launch, Meta and Ray-Ban have introduced their latest collaboration: the Meta Ray-Ban Display, a new augmented reality wearable. These glasses introduce a full-color display within the lenses. The glasses are designed to blend a digital interface with the real world, providing information while keeping users connected. Along with the new display glasses comes the redesigned Meta Ray-Ban Gen 2 glasses, which are geared toward developing streamlined AI glasses. Meta’s software platform powers the Meta Ray-Ban glasses, and the aim is to bring more users into the Meta ecosystem. The Ray-Ban Display is priced at $799. The new Ray-Ban Display Glasses feature a high-resolution screen in the right lens, displaying text messages, photo previews, and real-time translations. A Neural Band allows for hands-free operation. Key features include hands-free messaging, two-way video calls, live captioning, and enhanced audio. Currently, the glasses are only available in the US for $799, bundled with the Meta Neural Band, with sales starting September 30th. Plans exist to expand to Canada, France, Italy, and the UK next year. The Indian market may get access late next year.
