Users are frequently dissatisfied with short battery life, leading smartphone manufacturers to prioritize larger batteries. Following the 7000mAh battery trend, companies are now gearing up to release smartphones with up to 15000mAh batteries. Realme recently released a teaser about a new smartphone featuring a 15000mAh battery, the capacity is displayed on the rear of the phone.
Furthermore, the company claims that the phone’s battery can provide up to 50 hours of continuous video streaming on a single charge. Despite the expectation of larger batteries leading to bulkier phones, Realme assures this won’t be the case with this particular device.
This phone is expected to incorporate silicon anode technology, first revealed in early 2025. As this is a concept device, consumers may need to wait for its release, but Realme is planning to share more information on August 27th. There is speculation that the company will launch a phone with a 10000mAh battery.
In May of this year, Realme introduced a phone with an ultra-high silicon anode battery, boasting a 10000mAh capacity, potentially including features like 320W fast charging support. The phone is expected to have a semi-transparent back panel, a thickness of 8.5mm, and weigh around 200 grams. Realme’s 320W supersonic charge technology, unveiled last year, promises a full charge in approximately 4 minutes and 30 seconds. The company stated that it could charge to 26% in 1 minute and 50% in 2 minutes.
