
Redmi has launched the 15 5G smartphone, positioning it in the mid-range category. The device stands out with its commitment to providing users with two years of operating system upgrades and four years of security updates. The phone is equipped with AI features such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search. In addition, the smartphone features Dolby-certified speakers to provide enhanced audio. The phone will be available in three versions: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB. The price is set at Rs 14,999 for the 6/128GB variant, Rs 15,999 for the 8/128GB, and Rs 16,999 for the 8/256GB model.
Consumers can purchase the Redmi 15 5G from August 28th from Xiaomi’s official website, retail stores, and Amazon. It will face competition from the Motorola G85 5G (priced at Rs 15,999 on Flipkart) and the POCO X7 5G (priced at Rs 16,999 on Flipkart).
Regarding specifications, the phone comes with a 6.9-inch Full HD+ display featuring a 144 Hz refresh rate, 850 nits peak brightness, and a 288Hz touch sampling rate. It runs on a Snapdragon 6S Gen 3 processor. Its camera setup consists of a 50MP dual rear camera and an 8MP front camera, coupled with features like AI Beauty, AI Sky, and AI Erase. A 7000mAh battery supports 33W wired charging and 18W wired reverse charging.
