The Samsung A17 5G is expected to be released soon in India. Leaks have revealed the pricing of the Indian variant. According to the leaks, the phone may be available in three different configurations. The phone had already been unveiled in major European markets on August 6, with three color options: Black, Blue, and Grey. It operates on Samsung’s Exynos 1330 SoC, coupled with the Mali-G68 MP2 GPU.
Reports suggest that the base model A17 in India might start at approximately Rs. 18,999, which will include 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The other two versions, with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage, could be priced at Rs. 20,499 and Rs. 23,499, respectively. These price details suggest an imminent launch of the device in India.
Comparing with the European launch price of around EUR 239, the phone will be priced at roughly Rs. 24,393 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option.
If the Indian model is identical to the European model in terms of specs, it will feature a 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The phone will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset, coupled with the Mali-G68 MP2 GPU, and offer up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
It’s likely the device will include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The camera setup may have a dual rear camera with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The front camera might be a 13MP sensor. The Galaxy A17 5G will support 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C. It is expected to have a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging support.
The smartphone market has been quick to incorporate flagship features into mid-range phones. The Realme P4 PRO, a recent competitor, offers better specifications and features at a similar price point. The P4 Pro’s 7000 mAh battery and 120 fps refresh rate make it a better choice when compared to the A17 5G.
