
Rivalries between tech companies often lead to playful competition, and the iPhone 17 Series launch provided Samsung an opportunity to playfully poke fun at Apple. Samsung has built a strong presence in the foldable phone market, whereas Apple has yet to release a foldable device, or even mention one. Following the unveiling of the new iPhone series, Samsung posted several remarks about foldable phones, indirectly referencing Apple.
Following the official launch of the iPhone 17 Series, Samsung re-posted a message from 2022 on X, which stated, ‘Let us know when it folds.’
Samsung had already entered the foldable segment by 2022. They re-shared the post, commenting, ‘Can’t believe this is still relevant.’
Samsung didn’t stop there; they also criticized Apple’s camera system, stating, “48MP x 3 still doesn’t equal 200MP.” They also expressed surprise that some users waited five years for a sleep score feature.
There were varied reactions to Samsung’s posts on X. Many Apple users defended their company.
One user suggested that Samsung could excel if they improved video recording quality.
Others mentioned that 200MP does not always equate to better photos.
Some users suggested Samsung address the green line issues some of their phones experience.
Apple launched the iPhone 17 Air, which is the thinnest handset yet, measuring 5.6 millimeters thick. It is thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, at 5.8 millimeters. The iPhone 17 Air sales will commence on September 19, with a price of ₹1,19,900 for the 256GB model. There are also 512GB and 1TB options.
