Samsung is preparing to reveal its newest foldable device, with the initial launch event planned for the Chinese market. The official launch date is set for October 11. A teaser image has been released, but details about the device remain limited. Specifically, the available colors, such as red or black, which have been a mainstay in the previous W series, are not confirmed, though the teaser suggests a gold-colored frame. While Samsung has experienced success in the foldable market, it has not reached the same level of popularity as competitors like Huawei, Vivo, Honor, and Xiaomi. According to reports, Samsung might unveil its new trifold phone at the APEC summit. The company plans to showcase the new model at an art exhibition held during the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Gyeongju, South Korea, from October 21 to November 1. This trifold phone represents a step forward from existing Galaxy foldable phones, which feature a bi-fold design. Samsung’s trifold would be the second of its kind, after the Huawei Mate X. Companies like Tecno have demonstrated trifold devices, but they are not available for purchase. The APEC 2025 event will take place between October 31st and November 1st in South Korea. Reports suggest the initial production run of the tri-fold will be limited to around 50,000 units.
